uOttawa Gee-Gees looking back to the past to improve its Defense

After two very unsuccessful years on defense since the arrival of Jamie Barresi to uOttawa, the Gee-Gees are have been in conversation with at least one member and are considering talking to other members of the defensive staff that lead the team in 2011 and 2012.

Coach Barresi has had at least one conversation with Marcus "Chunky" Adams about the vacant Defensive Co-ordinator position. The program has struggled mightily since Head Coach J.P. Asselin left suddenly just before spring camp of the 2012 season to join the re-newed Carelton Ravens program. It has been two years since the remaining coaches from the 2011 and 2012 seasons have left the program and although the Gee-Gees have been productive on offense they have been near the bottom in most defensive catagories in each of the last two seasons.

Murphy's Defence was ranked near the bottom in ever defensive statistic.

Points Per Game 41.4 (23)

Yards Per Game 505.1 (21)

Passing Yards Per Game 269.1 (14)

Rushing Yards Per Game 236.0 (24)
